About Dr. P H V Sesha Talpa Sai
Dr. P.H.V. Sesha Talpa Sai is a distinguished academic leader, seasoned researcher, and an innovative mentor with over 36 years of experience spanning industry, academia, and research; served as the Professor and Director (R&D, IQAC & Startups) at Malla Reddy University, spearheading initiatives that drive academic excellence, innovation, and entrepreneurial growth.
Academic and Industrial Expertise
Dr. Sai holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from JNTU Hyderabad, an M.E. in CAD/CAM from Osmania University, and a B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from SV University, Tirupati. With 14 years in industry, he has worked with prestigious organizations such as HAL, BDL, and BHEL, gaining extensive expertise in design and fabrication of SPMs, plastic moulding technologies, machine tool design, and automobile engineering.
In academia, Dr. Sai has 22 years of teaching and research experience, contributing to curriculum development, research innovations, and institutional growth. His global outlook is reinforced by his role as a visiting faculty at Lincoln University College, Malaysia.
Research and Publications
Dr. Sai is a prolific researcher with over 80 publications in reputed international journals and 18 patents, including three international patents granted (Germany, Australia & South Africa). His research interests focus on solar energy conversion and storage, Nano-composite materials, and advanced heat transfer applications. He has authored several book chapters & books, including “Heat Transfer”, “Nano Fluids”, “CAD-CAM”, "Kinematics of Machinery" (McGraw Hill), and serves as a reviewer for prominent journals such as Elsevier and JESTEC.
Leadership in Innovation and Entrepreneurship
As the Innovation Ambassador for the AICTE Innovation Council, Dr. Sai has established and mentored eighteen startups, including 9 ventures supported by MSME and MeitY grants worth INR 1.00 Crore.
